Mark Dever Interview on heath Churches

Some highlight quotes from Dever:

In unhealthy churches the Bible seems disconnected from life. People are left stunted in their discipleship.

We think people are being evangelised and converted when they are merely responding to a well-marketed program.

Expository preaching should be the normal style of preaching because it's the Bible that feeds God's people. Topical preaching is useful but only occasionally. Expository preaching operates less on our own agenda and more with God's. Topical style preaching equals answering questions which equals, Apologetics. Expository preaching equals expounding God's word which equals evangelism.

When one is not in good health an all-out dependence for others becomes widespread. When one is in good health that all-out dependence goes away.
It seems for Dever, health comes one way, the word of God.
